Before you walk through that door, you must do some work for your job and be prepared to hand it over to them immediately. You want it to be relevant to what you are doing. I did this when applying for jobs, and it worked wonders.
I am applying for the position of Social Media Manager. So I went to their website and looked at all the things that could be done to improve it.
There were a bunch of little things they had yet to think of, like putting share buttons on every page of the site, linking all their accounts together, and taking out some dead links on their pages.
They couldn’t wait to get me to work customizing my entire presence online until the interview was done, and honestly, I had weeks of work due to my suggestions. It went very well.
